AGCO SERVICES FOR ONTARIO’S LIQUOR MANUFACTURERS WILL BE MOVING ONLINE

INFORMATION BULLETIN NO. 044

(March 2017)

In late spring 2017, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) will begin rolling  out online services in multiple phases and liquor manufacturers will be among the first to benefit.

Through the soon-to-be launched iAGCO online portal, which will be available through the AGCO website at www.agco.on.ca, manufacturers will be able to create an account and manage their AGCO licences anytime, from anywhere.

What is changing?

Once the iAGCO portal is launched, liquor manufacturers will be able to access online services for applications, renewals and amendments for:

• Manufacturer’s licences (brewery, winery, distillery)

• On Site Retail Store Authorizations (brewery, winery, distillery)

•Manufacturer’s Limited Liquor Sales Licence (“By the Glass”)

•Authorization to sell VQA Wine and/or Fruit Wine at a Farmers’ Market

•Relocation of Off-Site Winery Retail Store Authorization

Applications to transfer a manufacturer’s licence will not be offered online in the first phase of the iAGCO roll out. These will remain a paper-based process until further notice.

Once iAGCO has launched, the transactions listed above will only be available online. However, manufacturers needing assistance with the online process should contact AGCO’s customer service at the number provided below.

Payment Options:

Once services move online, all licence-related payments will have to be made by Visa, MasterCard or Interac Online. Cheques and cash will no longer be accepted as a for payment.

What manufacturers will need to do:

• Once the iAGCO portal has been launched (late spring 2017), manufacturers will be able to  visit the AGCO’s Web site at www.agco.on.ca to create an iAGCO account and begin accessing electronic services.

• As a service to manufacturers, certain key information already provided to the

AGCO will bpre-populated into the online system. Prior to launch, manufacturers will be mailed an online access code. When creating their iAGCO account, manufacturers will be able to use that code to link their newly created account to their existing data on file.

• Once individual and corporate information have been saved, they can be reused for all applications and renewals. Information will only need to be updated when changes occur.

• When working in the iAGCO portal, manufacturers will be able to save their applications  in draft form before submitting them and will be able to modify them as needed throughout the application process. Manufacturers will also be able to check the status of their applications.

• AGCO will continue sending renewal notices 60 days before current licences expire. Those notices will be sent by email once an iAGCO account has been created.

The AGCO’s move towards online service delivery is part of our ongoing efforts to modernize services and provide a quality service experience to our customers.
